PCAC Votes on Five Bulk Drug Substances

FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) held a meeting on November 3rd. IACP’s Executive Vice President John Voliva, RPh, attended and provided a nominator presentation.

The committee discussed five bulk drug substances nominated for inclusion on the section 503A Bulks List. The PCAC discussed the following nominated bulk drug substances: Glycolic acid, trichloroacetic acid, kojic acid, diindolylmethane, and vasoactive intestinal peptide. Read the voting results here.


IACP’s 2017 Board of Directors Election Opens

The IACP Board of Directors sets direction for the organization, serves as visionaries for the future of pharmacy compounding, and generates results. Board members contribute their time, energy and ideas to lead the organization forward and in turn, lead the compounding profession to greater success.

 

Your vote is important to IACP as we elect individuals to lead our association into the future. Voting closes at Midnight on Friday, December 2nd. Results will be announced in mid-December. If you did not receive a member alert with candidate information and ballot – please email iacpinfo@iacprx.org.

IACP Foundation Update

 

Board of Director Nominations are Open

 

The IACP Foundation's 2017 Call for Board of Directors Nominations and the 2017 Election Cycle for the March 1, 2017 - February 28, 2019 Board Members is open until November 18, 2016.


Interested candidates may be nominated or self-nominated to the IACP Foundation Board Nominating Committee. This year, there are two Board of Director positions for which candidates are sought. For more information and the nomination form CLICK HERE.

Apply by November 15th for Fund-the-Future Travel Grants for 2017 Educational Conference

 

The American College of Apothecaries (ACA), International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) and American College of Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP) Foundations are offering up to four (4) pharmacy students a travel grant to attend the 2017 Educational Conference, February 21-25, 2016, in San Diego, CA.

Student Pharmacist Travel Stipend Grant Applications are due by November 15, 2016. Winners will be announced in December! For more information and the application CLICK HERE.
